Hate waxing or shaving

Hate waxing or shaving, are your fine lines and wrinkles, age spots or other skin imperfections making you look old? Could your breasts do with a lift, or maybe go up a cup size? …….. then read on!!

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™) technology is a treatment breakthrough that can correct a variety of benign skin conditions, such as facial skin imperfections, the signs of aging, birthmarks, unwanted hair, unsightly small veins, and other  blemishes.  It offers a safe, non-invasive solution that can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, providing superior cosmetic results and outstanding satisfaction.

The new procedure is called “Photo-rejuvenation” and it is offered here at Eden Beauty Clinic. IPL Photo rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that erases skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence, no “downtime.”  Intense Pulse Light (IPL™) can simultaneously treat a wide range of facial concerns safely and effectively, such as broken capillaries, skin discoloration, age spots, freckles, mottled pigmentation, and the symptoms of rosacea.

How is the Photo rejuvenation procedure performed?
A cold gel is usually applied to be treated, and you may be given dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light.  The smooth glass surface of the IPL hand-piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.  You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a rubber band.  An anaesthetic cream may  be used, but is seldom required.  Treatment is generally administered in a series  of procedures that provides excellent long-term results, minimal adverse effects,
and high satisfaction.  Each treatment takes about twenty minutes.

Why are multiple treatments necessary?
Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual problem, a series of five to six treatment sessions may be recommended.  You can return to work the same day and resume all your regular activities.  By dividing the full program into several treatments, the procedure provides gradual improvement with very low risk-and, it preserves the wonderful “no downtime” feature that people appreciate so much.

How do other treatments compare to Photo-rejuvenation?
While there are lasers that treat red spots, other lasers treat browns, and others yet that are used for resurfacing facial skin, no technology provides long-term improvement of complexion and texture of the IPL Photo-rejuvenation program all without the slightest interruption in your busy lifestyle.

What conditions can Photo-rejuvenation treat?
Imperfections from Sun Damage and Photo-aging. Enlarged pores, dull complexions, and other facial imperfections or abnormalities can detract from your well-being and appearance, no matter how healthy and  young you feel.  IPL technology improves both the superficial and the deeper skin layers and rejuvenates the skin while at the same time delivering beneficial thermal energy to deep tissue.  After a series of treatments, you can see a  significant reduction of unwanted pigmentation and the appearance of smoother, revitalized skin.  The same treatment can be used effectively on the neck, chest, and hands.

What is RF and how does it work in Skin Rejuvenation?
Radio Frequency (RF) is another way of providing heat to the dermal layer of the skin without the use of light. The heat caused by the friction of speeding water molecules has an instant tightening effect on loose skin and stimulates the formation of fibroblasts and production of collagen and elastin.  This tightening / toning effect can be seen and felt in most cases immediately after the treatment. Radio frequency is also used by itself around the eyes targeting the crows feet and other lines and wrinkles without the risk of incidental light damage from the IPL treatment handle. The resulting smoother skin and smaller pores make RF an essential anti-ageing weapon.
